BBCF Names Repiano Chair in Memory of Founding Member
The Brass Band of Central Florida (BBCF) is saddened to announce the passing of long-time Repiano player and founding member of the band, Charlie Peshek. Aside from being the most reliable Repiano cornetist and remarkable musician to anyone who's heard him, Charlie was and will forever be known as a firm cornerstone of the band's accomplishments on and off the bandstand. His commitment and dedication to the band is paramount to the BBCF's successes - past, present, and future. His infectious personality was always full of warmth and positive energy. He was a dear friend to everyone he met and we will miss him dearly!
It is in his spirit that we honor him and his family's contributions for the past 20 years with the permanent renaming of our Repiano Chair to: "The Charlie Peshek Chair"
May his beautiful music play in our hearts now and forever.
